Look back on my first semester and what i learned from it

In my first semester in college, I realized that there is no free lunch in life. To achieve success, first, we must depend on ourselves. Take my school work as an example; I failed to my first exam because I didn’t take it seriously and made no effort on it, so I deserved this failure but I understood that hard work is key to getting what I want and there are no real shortcuts in learning new things! The second thing is that I have to keep working, not only before the test but in my daily life. The way of studying in college is quite different from senior high. I must keep raising my standard and keep bettering myself and constantly look chances to improve. Everyone reinforce their ability with time past, and so do i.
With a brand new year coming, I have more expectation toward my learning attitude.

The meaning of christmas to me

In my opinion,Christmas makes great difference with any other festival.And took it seriously when i was in junior high,because i was studied in a catholic school for three years.I remember that when Christmas coming,our teacher used to lead us to sing Christmas carols alone the streets and our school always celebrated Christmas grandly.
I really enjoy the atmosphere that Christmas brings. It shares love and peace with everyone in the world as Christmas celebration becomes more prevalent.
Christmas is the celebration of birth of Christ who sacrificed for truth and faith.As result, we should remember this meaningful day and pass down to our offspring forever.

He was the only one who awarded 1,368 separate and distinct patents during his lifetime.Including an Electrical Vote Recorder(his first invention)and the carbon telephone transmitter "button", which finally made telephony a commercial success.Moreover, this invention not only led to the development of the microphone, which made early radio possible, but the solid state "diode" or transistor which makes so many of today's electronic devices possible.In addition,he also invented light and elctronic system.

Those incomparable inventions made him become both a creative man and a lengend in history.Most important,his great success was not only come from his unique ability
but also rely on his spirit "never give up".The most famous and well-known motto he said was "Genius is one percent inspiration and nineey-nine percents perspiration. "That's exactly what we shold learn from him.

A brand new experience!!

Today after class,i had a special experience with my senior high classmates.We tasted Tibetan cuisine for our dinner.This unique restaurant called "藏味館",which is the first restaurant at 師大night market that famous for its exotic style and special flavor .The master of the restaurant is a Tibetan also.
I love "酥油茶" especially(↓),cause it smells good.But to my amazement,it taste different from normal milktea.It's salt!!The feeling is just like salt water blend with milk..After all,it is really worth trying if you want to taste a different flavor that you never had before!I believe that will be a unforgettable memory!!

王盈之 HW3 u1587 Choco

After visiting CEF,I think I stand in B2 between C1 both reading and listening.Abviously,i should improve my english ability harder...


listening:i spend more than a hour every night listening to the STUDIO CLASSROOM on the radio(22:30勞工教育電台FM91.3).If i keep working on it,i guess my english ability will be improved!!


reading:Now i am trying to form a habit of reading english newspaper everymorning,thought it's really hard for me...I regard it as a challenge which can inspire my ambition and comquer the difficulties .In addition,i've started to read the novel which i haven't finished during summer vacation.That's really a great breakthrough!!

My Comprehensive English Enhancement Plan

1. Special goal:
*finish reading the novel"The Five People You Meet In Heaven"by Mitch Albom ASAP.
*reading English magazine and practice English speaking every night.
*listen to the radio and watch the HBO or STARMOVIE more often.
2. Specific actions to achieve that goal：
*First,i should find the book out.
*i have subscribed to"ADVANCED" for more than one year.That's really a useful magazing.
And i will read loudly with the practicing CD also.
